Our story

Built with a love for building.

Hi, I'm Satya Vara Prasad, the person behind ClipTitle. Before I tell you about the product, I want to tell you a little about why I'm building it.

How it started

I've always enjoyed building apps.

I love that moment when something starts as a small idea in your head, becomes a rough screen on your computer, breaks twenty times, slowly gets better, and eventually becomes something another person can use.

ClipTitle came from that same curiosity.

I saw how important captions had become for videos, from YouTube and podcasts to Shorts, Reels, tutorials and everyday content. People watch without sound. They scroll quickly. You have seconds to keep their attention.

But making captions that actually look good can take surprisingly long. Generating the words is only the beginning. You still have to think about timing, line breaks, emphasis, animation, style, positioning, translation, and whether the captions actually feel right with the video.

I kept thinking

“Why should this take so much work?”

That question eventually became ClipTitle.

So I started building. Not as a big company. Not with a huge team. Just me, my computer, a lot of ideas, and probably far too many hours looking at captions.

I design ClipTitle. I write the code. I test it. I break things. I fix them. Sometimes I build something I'm excited about and realize the next morning that it isn't good enough. So I change it. That's part of building something I care about, and ClipTitle is something I care about deeply.

Why ClipTitle

Not just another transcription tool.

I wanted ClipTitle to help with the entire captioning experience.

Import a video. Generate captions. Correct them when needed. Translate them. Choose how they should look and move. Preview everything directly on the video. Then export. All from one Windows application.

As I kept developing it, the idea became bigger. What if the software could understand not only what was being said, but also how it should appear on screen?

  • Which words deserve emphasis?
  • Where should an animation happen?
  • When should a number stand out?
  • When should the captions stay quiet and let the video speak?

That's the direction I'm building ClipTitle toward: AI that helps with the creative decisions, without taking control away from the creator.

What I believe

AI should help you create. It shouldn't make everything look AI-created.

AI can transcribe a sentence. But a great caption isn't just words on a screen. Sometimes one word matters more than everything around it. Sometimes a number should hit harder. Sometimes the best animation is no animation at all.

I want ClipTitle to understand enough about your video to help you make better creative decisions, while the creativity stays with you.

Built differently

I care about the details that are easy to overlook.

  • How quickly the app opens
  • How captions feel when they appear
  • Whether an animation helps the video or distracts from it
  • How every language looks on screen
  • How few steps it takes from import to export
  • Feeling at home on Windows, not a website in a window

Every language, actually beautiful

I want someone creating in Telugu, Hindi, Spanish or Arabic to have an experience that feels just as polished as someone creating in English. Not just technically supported, but actually beautiful: correct text, natural line breaks, good typography, thoughtful emphasis, and animations that still make sense. It's a difficult problem, and difficult problems are usually the interesting ones.

Private by design

ClipTitle keeps your video work on your own computer. When AI is needed to write the captions, it sends only the audio, never your whole video. And because it's a native Windows app, it should feel like software made for the computer you're using.

Independent

One product.
One person behind it.

ClipTitle isn't made by a huge team. I'm an independent developer: designing features, writing code, testing ideas, fixing the things that don't feel right, and continuously improving the experience. There's no long chain between the person using ClipTitle and the person building it.

You're talking to the developer.

Your part

If you use ClipTitle, you're part of this story too.

If something annoys you, I want to know. If something saves you an hour, I want to know that too. If there's a feature you keep wishing existed, tell me. You might send a small suggestion today and see it inside ClipTitle in a future update.

Behind the website, the app and all the AI, there's a real person reading your feedback and building the next version.

Where I'm taking ClipTitle

Exceptionally good at one thing.

I don't want ClipTitle filled with features just because a long list looks impressive. I want it to be exceptionally good at one thing:

Helping creators turn spoken words into beautiful captions.

  • Better transcription
  • Better translations
  • More natural multilingual captions
  • Smarter emphasis
  • Better animations
  • Better templates
  • Faster workflows

And AI that understands the meaning and rhythm of a video, instead of treating every caption the same. There's still a lot I want to build, and that's probably my favorite part.

A note from Satya

I'm just getting started.

I don't think ClipTitle is finished, and I hope I never start thinking that way. There will always be another detail to improve, another idea to try, and another way to make creating captions a little easier.

My goal isn't to build the biggest video editor. It's much simpler: I want to build the captioning app that creators love opening.

If ClipTitle saves you time, helps you make a better video, or simply makes one frustrating part of creating content easier, then all those hours building it were worth it.

Thanks for giving something I built a place on your computer.
